Commencing in 2026, the Ministry of Education (MOE) wil introduce substantial modifications to the calculation of GCE A-Level scores in Singapore. As a result, we have enhanced our RP calculator to compute the new maximum rank point of 70 points. Please note that our A-Level rank point calculator is currently in its beta version, and further refinements may be required in the future. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:
New UAS Maximum of 70 Points
Project Work (PW) now graded as Pass/Fail – no longer contributes to rank points.
Fourth Content-Based Subject only included if it improves your score.
Mother Tongue Language (MTL) is optional, contributes only if it benefits your UAS.
The UAS is used for local university admissions in Singapore and is computed from your best-performing subjects based on the MOE’s official criteria.

Base Formula (No 4th Subject / MTL): UAS = 3 H2 + H1 GP = 60 + 10 = 70 Points
With 4th Subject: UAS = [(3 H2 + 1 H1 + GP) / 80] × 70
With Mother Tongue: UAS = [(3 H2 + GP + MTL) / 80] × 70
With Both: UAS = [(3 H2 + 1 H1 + GP + MTL) / 90] × 70
By removing rigid requirements and rebalancing subject weights, students now have more flexibility and breathing space.
You must pass PW to qualify for university admission. It no longer affects rank points, but failure can disqualify you.
