Who This Is For

H2 Math Tuition for JC1 and JC2 Students

Whether your child is just starting JC1 H2 Math tuition and adjusting to the jump from A Math, or deep into JC2 H2 Math tuition ahead of A-Levels, our JC Math tuition programme gives structured, syllabus-wide support at every stage of JC1 and JC2 — and sits alongside our H2 Physics tuition for A-Level students.

The Challenge

Why JC Students Need Structured H2 Math Tuition

H2 Math isn't just a harder version of A Math. It tests different skills entirely, and the gap between "knowing the topic" and "scoring for it" catches most students off guard.

01 — The Syllabus Jump
  • H2 Math introduces vectors, complex numbers and Probability & Statistics from JC1 onward — content most students have never encountered.
  • Without a structured start, that gap compounds fast.
02 — Technique, Not Memorisation
  • Both papers test reasoning and application, not just formula recall.
  • Marks are lost on how a solution is shown as often as on the final answer.
03 — One Weak Topic Snowballs
  • H2 Math is cumulative: Calculus leans on Functions and Graphs, Statistics leans on Probability.
  • A shaky JC1 foundation shows up as a JC2 prelim problem.
This is why parents and students searching for the best H2 Math tuition in Singapore look for a programme built around a clear problem-solving system — not just more practice papers.

What Sets Concept First Apart

What Makes Concept First's H2 Math Tuition Different

Problem-Solving Blueprint

The Mathematical Problem-Solving Blueprint

H2 Math questions can run a full page. Most students stall not from lack of knowledge, but from not knowing where to start. Our step-by-step blueprint for common H2 Math question types gives students a repeatable strategy, not just an answer key.

So that your child never freezes staring at a blank page.
Full Syllabus Coverage

Full Coverage of the H2 Math Syllabus

Our curriculum is graded from easy to difficult, built to cover the full spread of exam question types — so students walk in having seen the pattern before, not encountering it cold.

No question type comes as a surprise on exam day.
Learning Environment

Safe. Supportive. Inspirational.

Learn in a safe, supportive environment guided by devoted tutors — with WhatsApp support and face-to-face consultations outside class hours. When a calculus or vectors question doesn't click in class, your child isn't stuck waiting until next session to ask.

No question ever has to wait until the next lesson.
Teaching Tools

Top-of-the-Line Teaching Tools

MacBooks and iPads in a wireless setup free tutors from the front of the room, enabling dynamic, personalised attention instead of one-directional lecturing — useful when a student needs extra working space to walk through a multi-part H2 Math question step by step.

Teaching adapts to your child, not the other way round.
Tutor Quality

Taught by Subject Specialists

Former MOE teachers and tutors holding double or master's degrees in Engineering, Physics or Math — each focused on one subject for depth over breadth. That engineering and physics background matters directly for H2 Math's calculus and Probability & Statistics topics, not just as a general credential.

Your child learns from real depth, not a generalist.
Retention System

Free Monthly Review Classes on H2 Math Topics

Spaced-repetition review sessions on H2 Math topics, run monthly and always free for CF students — built for retention, not cramming before exams.

What's learnt in JC1 is still solid by JC2.
Track Record

Consistently Strong A/B Grades

Our A-Level H2 Math students consistently score A/B grades — a track record, not a one-off result.

You can trust the system, not just hope it works.

Confidence in the Exam Hall

We want every student to walk into the exam hall with certainty, not hope. That certainty is built systematically through structured practice, clear answering frameworks, and repeated exposure to exam conditions — including full-length, multi-part H2 Math questions — until there is nothing left to be uncertain about on exam day.

Support beyond the classroom — WhatsApp access to H2 Math tutors

Support Beyond the Classroom

Learning does not stop when the lesson ends. Your child has direct access to teachers via WhatsApp and consultations outside class hours, so a tricky differentiation or integration question doesn't sit unanswered until the next lesson.

Frequently Asked Questions

Honest Answers by the Concept First Team

Looking for H2 Physics tuition too? See our H2 Physics Tuition programme →

Our answer H1 Math (8867) covers roughly half the H2 syllabus, weighted more towards Statistics with lighter Calculus. H2 Math (9758) is the full syllabus across Pure Mathematics and Probability & Statistics — and is the standard requirement for Computing, Engineering, Economics and Science-related university courses.
Our answer No. It's an elective most students choose based on their O-Level A Math result and intended university course. Students who don't take H2 Math typically take H1 Math instead.
Our answer Two sections: Pure Mathematics (functions and graphs, sequences and series, vectors, complex numbers, and calculus including differentiation, integration and differential equations) and Probability & Statistics (probability, discrete and continuous random variables, sampling, hypothesis testing, and correlation and regression).
Our answer In practice, yes — H2 Math builds directly on A Math topics like calculus and trigonometry, and most JCs set an A Math grade as an internal prerequisite for H2 Math admission.
Our answer Most students start at the beginning of JC1, but starting during the post-O-Level June holidays gives a head start before Vectors and Complex Numbers land in the first few weeks of term.
Our answer This depends on the specific course and changes with each year's admission figures, so we'd point parents to the university's current admission criteria rather than a fixed number — but as a rule, a strong H2 Math grade widens options for Computing, Engineering and Science-related degrees.
